Ok, so i was able to order one on thursday. i am sure it will be here soon. but i am kind of curious as to the steel. I understand its a carpenter steel. I love my bark river woodland in XHP. It rocks.

but is BD1 another stainless or is some sort of tool steel? I kind of hope its carbon. I missed out on the M4, simply did not know and was new to mules. they are impossible to find and i love my Bradley in M4. cant speak highly enough of it.

Straight from the Spyderco site and TazKristi:
"One of those is CTS-BD1. CTS-BD1 is patterned on Gingami I (also known as G2), the gold-standard for Japanese cutlerers. Its superior edge retention and surface finish are machined to a fine edge and it heat-treats consistently."
It's a stainless steel to boot.
