First, no pics, but still wanted to share. Used the FFBM to take down a small yard tree that succumbed to some type of black fungus or mold. That thing was almost petrified. Was a lot harder than I thought, of course it could be that I'd just spent an hour weedeating, after an hour of full court basketball at lunch, followed by an hour commute home, and was a little bit tired
I'm glad I didn't try to use the ASH1 or HH, was more work than I was expecting even with the FFBM. The tree put up a good fight, but this story ends with a stump, no axe required
I also want to take this opportunity to advocate gloves and a wrist lanyard when chopping. After dragging the tree to the woods to "de branch it" and get it out of sight, I swung a glancing blow and the FFBM slipped part of the way out of my hand and contacted my other hand. Luckily I was wearing a thin leather glove and the lanyard kept the knife from flying out of control. Next time I'll cut the tree first and weedeat second. I'll also use a heavier glove when chopping. The wrist lanyard did it's job. I'd toyed with taking it off, in that it always seems like it's in the way, unless I'm using it and I had been doing some chopping without it, fortunately I had it on when I slipped. The good Lord does look out for fools and drunks, and I don't drink
The sweet spot on the FFBM is showing more and more bare INFI
