It's a good thing you weren't cutting poison ivy vines, bro. I don't think you would have cut any arteries... even the Emos have a hard time at that.

Happy healing...

I actually did cut a couple with dark thin tentacles which I believe was P-Ivy. One tree (not pictured) had honeysuckle, v-creeper and p-ivy vines. That tree was dead/strangled.

First ticks of the year today too. Found a couple crawling up my pants legs.

Glad you didn't hurt yourself too badly.

On a side note on the old pills, don't throw them in the trash or worse yet, flush them down the toilet. Call your local pharmacy, hospital or health department to find a place to dispose of them properly.

That looks painful but I suppose it could be worse I imagine that fiddleback machete was razor sharp.

Close call dude. Always good to see a first aid kit in action. Glad to see your still in one piece.

Boys that play with knives eventually get cut. :D Glad the wound wasn't too bad. I had a similar wound with an axe through a tennis shoe... didn't even know I was bleeding until I finally checked and had a very bloody shoe.

I had my machete propped up in the corner of my gun safe, I reached in there for some ammo and caught a knuckle on the edge. It was a very good slice. I dropped quite a bit of blood on the floor heading to the kitchen for a bandaid. It was so sharp, I did not feel anything but a snag. No sympathy from the wife of course. Glad you are not seriously hurt.

It isn't a first aid kit unless its covered in blood! Good wake up call

I have observed that the W&SSers tend to reach for the camera first and breakout the FAK after the photoshoot. That's community spirit!

glad you're okay, man. at least you didn't get blood on your kifaru pack, it lowers it's resale value :p i pack a couple of quikclots for those kinds of cuts.

Thanks for the reminder LMT66!

Glad it wasn't any worse & hope you heal up quickly.
