Be safe Florida HOGs

Prayers sent to all you Hogs in Florida !!!!

We were very lucky. Our only issue is a lack of power, with no timeline for restoration. Trees have taken out power lines and houses all over our neighborhood. Transformers were blowing left and right. It was like a fireworks show! In addition to the strongest, wildest wind I’ve ever seen/felt/heard, I also witnessed blue, green and orange lightning!!
Trees and water are blocking roads all over the place, and all of the traffic lights are out. For these reasons, we went out exploring on foot. Had to go a few miles before we found a Wifi signal we could connect to. That’s how I’m writing this now. If our power doesn’t comeback on in the next day or two, we may lose a couple of fridges/freezers worth of food. If that happens, I’m going to try to organize a neighborhood cookout. Bring your own plates!

Was the backend of the storm worse for you too? When we got the eye, I thought: "Ok, the worst is over". Nope!!

Glad most folks made it through.
prayers for those that did not and for those that have to rebuild.

Can’t say for sure, as I lost consciousness around that time. 🍻

ScoMa ScoMa we've never met in person, but I believe I'm beginning to love you! 😁:thumbsup:

My daughter's home lost a few shingles and a side gate was blown off, but otherwise she and the grandkids are OK.

I was glad to hear that Chad Pirtle is also OK ; he lives in the same town.

All the best to everyone affected by these storms. Will continue to pray for a speedy recovery/rebuild.

Garth
