Went down to the shore this evening (or as they say on Long Island "sho-wa") and took a few pics that I figured you hogs might enjoy.

I go to Jones Beach every summer with my friends. Always goodtimes.

Jones beach is a very nice area. Miles and miles of white sand. I really enjoy the north shore too, however, because the woods come right up to the beach and usually there is a pretty good drop off down to the beach. Not as easy to haul a cooler to the water's edge, but very scenic.

Thanks guys for the compliments! I was planning on hiking in the woods and wound up walking the beach. It starts getting dark so early now up here. I think these were taken around 4:30 or so.:rolleyes: It was a fantastic day up here - I just wish I got outside earlier............:D

I really like the way that Roped Micarta feels. Got a chance to get my hands on a BA3 this weekend with the same handles. Very nice. Great pictures. Looks as if you had a nice of a day on the east coast as we did here on the west coast. Ain't it great! Life ain't so hard.

Woodrat: You picked a great weekend to be away from Auburn if you aren't a fan, but it was a fine weekend for those of us who are.

Great pics but isn't it a law or something that if you take pics on a beach there has to be girls in bikinis in them :D . I am going to have to get a couple of those lanyards, they look pretty cool/useful. That camptramp looks pretty cool tooooooowwwhhat am I saying!?!? ;)

It does contrast rather nicely with the dark blade and handle;) ;)

I think it would be a little cool for the girls in bikinis...but that could add to the visual pleasure if they were out there. It was actually fairly remote - which is a good thing when pulling out a 7 1/2" black blade!

Since the Swamp announced they are dropping the Camp Tramp and Battle Rat, I felt obliged to bring him along for the ride:D
