I am surf fishing these days and would like a radio to keep aware of major news and pass the time with some music. I am not looking for a huge boom box or something to compete with other people blaring music. I want something tolerant of the sandy environment and salty air from the ocean.
I am initially thinking along the lines of Xhdata, Tecsun, Grundig, C Crane, Sangean, and similar brand radios at a moderate price, not cheap and not expensive. Is this an application where an Emergency Weather radio would work well? Other thoughts for this application?
