Bead blast finish?

I know it's not supposed to be this way but I have a couple of knives with fine bead blast finishes that seem to be more resistant to corrosion than a couple of satin finished knives I have. Blasted 440C, D2 - Satin 440C, G10.

Is this possible?

With good heat treats 440C and D2 should be pretty stain resistant. Also, a fine bead-blast is less prone to rust than a coarse bead-blast.

Thinking about having this done on a Spyderco Delica CF.

I've read suggestions about having this done, but have not seen pics, or reporting of results.

Any warnings, before having this done? I wouldn't do it myself.. would have to look for somebody to do it. Any suggestions?
