Thanks! Originally it was standard black crinkle coat. I did remove the coating first, and sand it smooth, but as far as I understand you don't have to. A special thanks to the great guy who did it for me!

looks good! on my doublecut finishes i usually take some XXXX steel wool and buff them with oil. i think thats how some of the 80's busses were finished up. now they are double blasted which smooths them out. i still use the steel wool even on the newer blasted finishes. i think it just makes them a tad bit shinier.
