What's up guys...thanks to Pontiaker, I have a a B.B. L-CC coming to me on Fri., and I just realized something. I've never owned / had to care for a B.B. blade.

I've hated them all along, but it seems natural on the L-CC, because of the "frosted" finish in the custom L-CC. I take AWESOME care of my knives, especially the blade, and I use Rem Oil, but is their anything special I should do with the blade? I plan on steel wooling it with 00, and 000 steel wool, then Semi-Chroming it, so it should help. I also plan in doing the bolsters, as they're a little skuffed I guess. How many of you prefer the B.B. L-CC over the S.W.? My D/A will definately be S.W though.

Thanks for your time!!! BTW, it's number 222!!! <---(as if it mattered.)

Bead blast is not that hard to care for. Oil the blade or use Tuff Cloth on a regular basis depending on how often you carry it or how often you cut food or other corrosive substances. You might also wish to carry the LCC in its sheath more often as opposed to your pocket, or if you keep it in your pocket, keep an ID wallet or other item between it and your thigh to minimize sweat corrosion.

Wow...sounds like a pain in the a$$ to me.

Guess I'll just have to polish all the pits outta it. What's the point of B.B. blades anyway?

Like Anthony said, it's a matter of proper maintenance - when properly maintained, no pocketknife should rust on you - it's when you fail to maintain it that the problems begin. Wipe it down and oil it up, and you shouldn't have any problems.

Hi Jackyl,
I am the extremely happy owner of serial #0529, a BB Pl. edged model.
My method of rust prevention is Marine Tuff-Cloth. It has worked fine so far and I don't see any problem in the future with periodic applications.
I hope your enjoying your LCC as much as I am mine.
