Bead blasting micarta?

I'm planing on bead blasting some micarta, but I have no experience doing it so I'm looking for a little help.

Does anyone know what would be a good type and size media for a fine but grippy texture?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Even very fine glass bead will texture micarta and G10. I personally avoid media that is very abrasive for handle materials, it can eat away more material than you want it to.

I've bead blasted both 100% paper and 100% Mil-spec ACU Digital camo, the ACU feels great but the feel of blasted paper for some reason makes my skin crawl...!
