I would like some info on bead blasting. Where to get supplies and tools also the procedure that it takes to do.

Thank you

I have been using sandblasters for a long time! I use a sandblast process to do my logos on my knife blades. I would highly reccomend a pressure pot system. They use less compressed air and you have a lot more adjustment of your air/abrasive flow. In my situation here in HUMID Florida. It keeps my abrasive dry. You don't need an expensive one either! Norhern Supply has a 20lb, import model for under $150. I am using one now for glass beads. Remember to pass the reclaimed medium through a screen before you put it back in the pressure pot. Any foreign objects will clog the system up.
The next consideration is the cabinet. I have bought several and made one or two... I would buy one bigger than you think you will ever need!!! Also, a dust collector is much better than a vacuum cleaner for using on the cabinet. I have been through a few shop vacs!!! Also, I shoot Silicon Carbide abrasive for engraving and Glass Beads for finish work. Don't try to use the same sysem for both mediums. I would be glad to answer any further questions you might have!
