BEAD BLASTING???????

I'M SURE THIS QUESTION HAS BEEN ASKED BEFORE, BUT I MISSED IT. WHEN DO YOU BEAD BLAST A BLADE, BEFORE, AFTER, OR BEFORE AND AFTER HEAT TREATING IT?? THANKS AND TAKE CARE! MICHAEL

Michael,
I prefer to do it after heat treat. I final grind the blade up to 400 grit. I use the ceramic bead, so it doesn't cover up like most of the other media. But the finish is much smoother.
