I want to bead blast an aluminum handle to remove the anodizing and a few imperfections and leave the handle with a smooth bare aluminum finish. What size (grit) bead should I purchase to have the smoothest finish? From what I have read in other posts, a very fine grit bead such as #13 (170-325) will leave a surface with many small pits and not smooth. Would the #7 (60-80) or #9 (80-120) get the surface smooth. Or, is there another size I should purchase? This is my first experience at bead blasting and I need a starting point. Below is a link to the chart I am using as a “beginners reference”:

Thanks...

Perhaps someone here can help you with bead blasting.
Easy-Off oven cleaner willremove the anodizing, or you can simply sand it off.

Bill,
When I purchase a chamber I want to get the proper size (grit) bead to do the various jobs I have planned. I hate to waste my money on the wrong size media as it is rather expensive. Thanks for the info...
