Beadblasted Damasteel

Not quite sure if this is the correct forum or not but does anyone have a photo of beadblasted damasteel?

I have a knife with a damasteel scale and it's a little slippery, so I was wondering what it would look like beadblasted for a better grip.

I don't think the damasteel pattern will show after it's beadblasted....
 
If the pattern is etched by chemicals beadblasting will remove it. It could be re-etched but it won't even look the same. If the pattern is actually beadblasted, more will simply finish it off leaving you to wonder if it was damasteel to begin with.

What kind of knife is it? Curious as Damasteel scales are pretty rare.
