how well does this finish hold up? I really wanted the stone wash but couldn't pass the deal i got up, how do you guys like them?

I prefer the Tumbled/Stonewashed finish 'cause it really doesn't show any sign of use,,, the beadblast finish will scratch from use, but some people like that 'used' look,,, I don't,,,

Both finishes are nice. Chibbi is spot on. The stone washed finish will hold up better in the long run (in terms of showing less user wear) but bead blast has a "cleaner" look. It really comes down to personal preference.

Here is nice comparison pic by Blackmore:

i got lucky. the shop that i ordered from told me that my knifes were beadblasted. the were stonewashed when the arrived "lucky me as thats what i wanted"

I passed up 2 XM-18's until a stonewashed came by. They just look a lot nicer, in my very humble personal opinion.

The bead blast finish is much easier to restore though. I don't think the Hinderer spa will retumble a knife, I may be wrong though.
