CONTEST IS OVER AND THE WINNER IS POST #19 "mqqn" a.k.a Andy

You guys may be familiar with this one. They are not that easy to find. Rare and elusive. I had one on my "want list" for a long time before I found one. You don't see these for sale on the counter down at the Kwik-E-Mart. I mean we are talking about watch pocket size at 2 3/4 inches, yeller handle, CV blade steel and there are even swedges on both blades.

It really is a canoe pattern but Case called it a Baby Butter Bean. I like beans. Did I mention this is a give-away thread? You have to be somewhat of a regular here in Traditional to win. If you aren't, don't bother entering because you won't win. Your post number is your entry number. Random number generator will pick the winner on Friday around noontime. All you have to do is post in the thread and tell what your favorite kind of beans are. :D

Beans beans the magical fruit, the more you eat, the more you toot, the more you toot... the better you feel.... so eat your beans at every meal! :D

Pinto beans are my bean of choice

I like your subtle, understated sense of humor, Rob. That's a little beauty with the long pulls, swedges, and CV!

Count me in, and thanks for the contest.

I have come to love watch pocket-size knives, because they carry so well in the dress pants I must wear for work. A Bean would go nicely with my Peanut and GEC #25.

The Greek philosopher Pythagoras advocated the avoidance of beans. He believed that the soul was comprised of air and that flatulance thus degraded the condition of the soul. Oh - my beans of choice are whatever my favorite local taco shop is using.

I hope you'll allow me to join in the fun.
I have recently become addicted to hummus so my bean of choice would have to be Chickpeas (or Garbonzos if you prefer).

Broad Beans fresh from the garden, boiled, butter and black pepper.

Coffee Beans I like when ground....

Thank you for this opportunity to sample beans!

I agree with the ground coffee beans, but I also like refried beans mixed with ground beef and spices. And the one in the OP!

That is one cute little bean, and a mighty nice giveaway.
My favorites are black-eyed peas, cooked with a ham hock - with some red onion and homegrown tomatoes chopped up on top, and cornbread for sopping up the pot likker.:D

P.S.
Black-eyed peas (Vigna unguiculata) are a variety of the cowpea and are part of the family of beans & peas (Leguminosae or Fabaceae in the USA). Although called a pea, it is actually a bean.

Rob great giveaway but I will have to stay out of everyone's way on this one as I have been carrying one of these for about two weeks and love it. Truly a great knife. Good Luck everyone.

A yella Case? I'm in! Thanks for the chance.

Good ol' navy beans. So many things you can do with them, and so many good ways to use them.

Hi Thomason -

Wow - that is a beauty - I did not know that Case made that pattern in a small size.

I love black-eyed peas, which are really beans, but I guess my favorite is Lima beans.

Thank you for the generous offering.

best regards -
