Apparently the two seem to be the same company. Question any good at all? or crap, never really heard of them, but I saw their Balis on Bladehq, in the same price range as Bradley Kimuras, but being that no one ever mentions them, I'm thinking the quality is not so good? Or are they worth a try?

Also posted this on another forum, got nothing. SO further has me thinking stay away. But I know there more traffic here so I'll see if any of you guys have something to say.

The balis were designed by BLS however my understanding is that the QC is not up to par with what they were looking for.

Bear and Sons are ok, will do in a pinch but again QC is something to look out for.

some people like them some people think they are junk. I think for the money they are good.what are they????$40.00- $80.00?? what do you want for that little bit of money??benchmade are what?? $300.00+++??? you have to pick on what you want to do.

Bear Ops and Bear and Sons are the same and they have the same problem, crappy quality and hit or miss quality control(mostly miss). I have the B-400 Bali I like it but it is not worth $100 and never will be.

I have a bear and sons bali, for under $40 I don't know where I could find a better one. That being said, it definitely doesn't flip like a benchmade.

Yeah but for $69 you can get a Spyderco Endura too and not have to do any work; not that I am bashing your personal preferences, or your review as it was very well done, or you decisions to purchase the knife, this is just my opinion and that is worth very little so take it or leave it but I would rather buy a Spyderco which has a great QC center and has a good return policy on defective knives( at least in my past dealings with them).

I understand. I have Spyderco knives too, but sometimes I suppose I get a hankering for something different. I love variety too much

I bought their fixed blade in 154cm. The fit and finish was better than standard B&S but still had problems. Mostly ergonomics. I ended up giving it away to a young friend of my sons who is starting a family and doesn't have money on his salary. The steel "guard" was uncomfortable and would find new and inventive ways of scraping my wrists. It's easy to see it was done on the cheap and just water jet or laser cut out along with the knife blank.

The guy I donated it too likes it . I wanted to like it too but it wasn't meant to be. No hardness testing, nor any rope cutting but it seemed to be made pretty well other than the ergonomics. It sharpened as it should, cut easily and gave me no problems other than the above
