Have you ever made a set of G10 scales for the CRKT Bear Claw? If so, how much would they cost? The knife is really cool, but the handles feel really cheap. Thanks in advance for your reply.

I am not at all familar with that name of the knife. This of course does not mean I haven't seen one but if so I don't recall. I'd need to see it to know for sure I guess.

Pics or a link would help.

Thanks for asking though.

Ok. I have seen that one. Actually I had one of those on order from Rus Komer from 1999 and called him in 2001 but never heard another thing about it so gave up on it. Funny story.

Anyway, if the scales on there now unscrew yeah I'm sure I could replace them.

As I have been telling everyone though, please read post number one in my pocket clip thread up at the top of the page and then you can mail the knife out to me at your convenience.

I'm guessing if its pretty straight forward that a job like that will run about $65 plus or minus.

Thanks

I'll read the post. Would it be possible for me to send the scales instead, with a money order?(might be a little while; I need to raise the cash first). If you could work from the scales alone, it seems it might be a little easier with customs hassles. And shipping might be cheaper with the lesser weight of just the scales.

Yeah I can probably do that for you no problem. There might be an area or two that needs an additional tweak by you with some hand sanding to bring it even or something but other than this possibility it should work fine.

Thanks
