Bear claw regrind.....

So I made a mistake of being a CRKT bear claw. Lost its bite the first time I used it.....on A piece of cardboard. Somehow I don't know why I was surprised with this Aus6. Almost think its like 420j2. Since I'm leaving in a few days on a rafting trip....I kind of need a neck knife with an edge. I was planning on strapping on my HR in its onscene pants....but learned I will be wearing a wet suit with no belt. Thought of grinding this bear claw down to plain edge as I have no idea how I would get a functional neck knife in 2 days. Just found out about the wet suit today. I must have eaten a big bowl of stupid today cause why it did not occuer to me earlier that here in Maine its still too cold to go swimming.....in a river.

Is regrinding a good idea or would it be a waste of time cause...plain edge or SE...its still poopy steel?
