what is a good way to keep the sheath of the CRKT Bear Claw from coming off your belt when unsheathing the knife? the only option provided is a clip, which won't hold it on. thanks.

I have only used the clip until i gave up on it.

There are several slots and holes in the perimeter of the sheath that I assume could be used to strap/tie/bolt it to a belt or other system. Has anyone else done this successfully? Has anyone else gotten an aftermarket sheath that was massively better?

here's one thing i just tried:

i looped a piece of paracord through the slots, around the clip and tied a slip knot in front. i'll loosen the knot, clip it to my belt, and tighten the knot around the clip. this puts more tension on the clip and adds a physical barrier under the belt, preventing is from sliding up. only real downside is that it takes a little longer to take on and off, and there is a three inch piece of paracord hanging form the sheath. anyone have any better ideas?

Wear it horizontally. It's better concealed and easier to get to IMHO. Clip to a belt loop and then tighten your belt so the tip of the sheath goes under the loop too.

Here is what I did, I got a piece of Kydex and traced out the outline of the sheath. I cut out the kydex, smoothed all the edges and drilled holes where the holes in the sheath were and used some nickel plated leathercraft rivets that I bought at a craft store to secure the kydex. You could also probably use some long pop rivets.
