So it occurs to me, the BADs were heat treated to be slightly harder, yes? I assume, since it's thinner, it was thought to be a slicer that will not be used for chopping? So sacrificing SOME toughness for hardness made sense? It seems the same logic would apply to the Bear Cub. Will it be a bit harder as well??
