Bear Grylls ACTUAL Knife?

Out of curiosity, I'm just wondering does anyone know what knife Bear Grylls uses in reality? I'm assuming he doesn't use the ones he has his name to, by Gerber.
 
Most hotels I've been to have something like this:

Agreed! :) Not trying to start a bear grylls argument though, just wondering about his knife :)

Bear stays in hotels and has pizza delivered during his shoots. Also his camera crew follows his escapades while hauling way more gear. Plus they stage scenes like painting rocks to make it look like glowing lava while shooting supposed dangerous sequences within view of the highway.

I think he has carried Gerbers before the deal, like a Gator, plus some others. There are threads on him and Stroud and the knives/multis they've used.
 
Bear Gryll's shows are somewhat stupid (especially the episode where he says that one should never use a weapon against an armed and violent intruder in one's household) but then again it's good entertainment and is not supposed to be a documentary.

Apparently he has used the Gerber Bear Grylls offerings (of course), Gerber Gator, Buck Iceman, Titanium Pro Dive Knife and Wenger Serrated Mountaineer.

The custom knife in seasons 3 and 4 was a Bailey S4. He is no longer affiliated with Bailey.

Bear a fake ? Noway!!! Who would have thunk it. Well I guess they can't all be like Cody in dual survival. Now that guy my friends. He's the real deal.:rolleyes:

I did have a small amount of respect for him until he did a show about 30 minutes from here. Now I assume every show he did was full of lies about the area he was in.
BTW- how could anyone believe that NW Alabama had alligators:p

Are you sure he climbed everest and didnt just stage some photos or have a bunch of sherpas carry him up? Almost everything about the guy, from his sas background to his survival skills, has been debunked so its hard to take any of his bragging/achievements at face value.
 
I dunno, that be a pretty major thing to lie about. It use to be 1 out of every four died. I think the odds are a little better now but still not something to lie about. I would have to assume it to be true and if it is no matter what he does for a paycheck will take away my respect for that
 
To all those saying he is fake, why don't you climb Mt Everest and make it into the SAS. While his show is bullshit, it has to be as how in the hell would the BBC allow him to do it? Are they really going to allow him to climb down a massive waterfall on a vine without him being harnest? When you run a business you protect your major assets. As for his knife he has had a few customs and he has been through a few different gerbers such as the gator and I swear I sore him using an LMF in one of the episodes.
 
Okay can someone please close this thread, I only wanted info on what knfie he uses. Thanks. Like spydusse said, anyone who can climb everest automatically gets my respect, all other things aside.
 
From my limited knowledge, he started out with the custom knife pictured,(RWL steel?) copies of which went for about 400 Euros. I don't think they sold alot so he changed to Gerber.
 
If you start a thread you have the option to close it yourself. Rwl 34 steel is the euro equivalent of cpm154,i believe.
 
In the first 2 seasons he used a Bayley S4. The original Bayley was about $600 The one in the pic is a China copy on ebay for $40.
 
i'd certainly have more respect for the Everest club if they brought back all the rubbish that they leave behind up there -apparently its a disgrace.
 
Muahaahhaahahahhaa, This thread is so priceless!!! the dude is worth near 6 million one celebrity website reports. Of course he has pizza delivered to his sets. Do you honestly think a guy that is worth that much and makes a buttload each episode is actually going to rough it?

I mean this is television.... Reality tv..... mUahahahahahaha
