Bear Mfg knives and those who love them- post pics if you got em!

It has been years since I last had a Bear in my grips, found one today and cant for the life of me understand why I stopped carrying it.

Found a like new for a very good price today- love this little knife already, again.

I own one, a 4" Stockman that I bought at a local Hardware (wanted to support a USA manufacturer and local dealer); the knife is all stainless so I keep it in my blind bag - it's sharp, has decent action, and does the job it was bought to do. OH

I really enjoy the stag scales and solid action, havent seen one with movement in it except where it is supposed too.

Are the handles stag or bone jigged to resemble stag?

OH I bought a BEAR just like that at my [local] hardware store for the same reason, wanted to support a USA manufacturer and local dealer. Picked up two other BEAR for gifts and got no complaints. They were closing out the knives many years ago. In the last of 2014 [the store] put in a BUCK display and I bought a 345 for the same reason. I must be getting old because I miss knife display cases and was thrilled to see the BUCK display.

I bought the same one, for the same reason at [a local hardware]. my only complaint, and it's a small one, was that it needed quite a bit of work to get a good edge on it. But now it's great.

I pick them up every once in while when I see them on clearance. Didn't expect much but they are all actually pretty nice.

The [hardware] stores around here all have the same knife display. I think it must be custom built for [them] as every one I've seen has a few knives from Bear & Son, a few from Victorinox, a few from Case, and a few from Buck. The knives are all in the panels together, in fitted slots. [the local hardware] is big enough to have their own display maker I suppose. OH
