Just a heads up for all my axe loving friends. There are a ton of fake antique bearded axes being sold off on the 'bay these days. They all looks the same. Just be careful what you lay your hard earned cash on.

Would they be the ones from Bulgaria by any chance?

haha, I was just noticing that yesterday - all from Bulgaria. Dozens of aged, identitcal, 'vintage' bearded axes. Rather implausible.

Saw this video awhile back. "Spoon Making in Romania" Here's a still from it:

I think thats a bearded (also called a side axe?) sitting on his "bench". Anyway, I thought I'd like to get one. Looked on ebay and found some similiar. IIRC they were asking (mabe selling) for around $100.

Somehow, just a wild guess, but somehow I just can't imagine this guy paid $100 for his axe.
