wow ... thats an awesome axe  I have the Graänsfors Bruks "Bearded Axe", I guess the handling must be quite similar. GREAT!

Would that be considered I think what is known as a collared axe, or instead of having lugs, has a collar?

The longer eye/socket in this particular axe is because of the width of the blade. So it is a tested design that our ancestors have been created to make the broad axe fit tighter and after a hard use to make the handle fit more stable into the eye. It is the proportion for the length of the blade, handle and eye. So the collared axe would have a shorter eye wit a collar part addition to it.

Hi Logjacob,

May i ask which steels that laminated within?

I'm looking forward to order from you.

The $$$ $hot!

A beautiful axe, no doubt. I hate to be a buzz kill...but...

I know your website is not up yet, but since you don't have a vendor subscription you should probably get one or remove the link. I think posting the link is crossing the fine line. It's only fair to those who pay to advertising their goods here. When the moderators see it, you might get a warning or whatever. Hopefully my tone comes across respectfully, as that's how I intend it.

Regards.
