My uncle gave me this knife about 40 yrs. ago. He said it came from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I doubted him. I asked a friend of mine that I work with from Cuba about what he thought. He said, he absolutely believed it. He asked how much I wanted for it, and I told him, I can't, my uncle gave it to me. It's the only thing that he owned that I have. Anyway, this guy has been giving me some oak hardwood, so, u decided to make a reproduction of it to give to him. It's not exact, but, it's not bad for not really knowing what I'm doing. I think it looks pretty good...

Is this meant to be "bearhead", as in being decorated with the head of a bear, or "barehead", as in not having a bolster at the pommel end of the scales?

Hi Zieg. Yes sir. Bearhead as the first picture you showed.. I carved it out of a square block of oak. Drawing it wasn't hard, but, three dimensionally was challenging. I had to have the the knife facing me to get the perspective, then turn it to the back the same way. I feel like a dumbass to ask, but, could you show me how to post a picture. I have one of the two knives side by side..

I use a hosting site called imgur.com. If you are posting from a tablet or a phone, it is best to use the imgur application. The site is free to use and fairly easy to navigate. The gist of it is to upload an image to imgur from your device, view the image on imgur, click the "share" icon, copy the IRL to your device, then embed the image IRL into your Bladeforums post using the image icon at the top of the posting window. There are better instructions than this, though, and I will see about finding a link for you.

Looking forward to seeing the knife!

Zieg
