i did manage to fix the broken pins on my jag with the nail technique. i think tomorrow ill take the other one out as well and go buy a small washer to put in between the blade and handle to minimize 'shakiness'.
i really do like the look of the tanto blade, would any of you who replied to me earlier and said your bear butterflies w/tanto blades were crap be interested in selling them?

I agree, tantos are a beautifully shaped blade. But, might I suggest buying a benchmade folder like the 722. The tanto bears just look ugly and reportedly handle even worse.

The blade is chisel ground and the handles break

If you buy a Bear Tanto I suggest that you also buy another Jag (one without inserts) and just replace the handles on the Bear with the ones from the Jag.
