Longer Frame: We added .34 to the frame and have a new end shape.
Blade: .1575 thick, CPM S35 NV. R 59-61, cryo & triple tempered.
Lock up is matching surface machined.
Wider bolder texture.
Ti is .125.
Thank you for the kind words. We get feed back from some "Beastly" users, and try to make each one better than the last. The new frame reflected the use of combat gloves and were designed to fit that grip. This started with the Super Beast. The thicker blade is working great.
The lock up face matching angles and coating with tungsten carbide was a major step for us. SOLID lock, yet smooth. The end of the lock bar and the lock face are machined at the exact same angle and then honed in.
Blade is slightly longer. We drew the tip out, more of a spear point. Wanted to retain the cutting edge, but increase the penetration aspect.
Increased thickness to .157. We start with .168-.172 descaled stock. Waterjet cut outs by Great Lakes Waterjet. Then surface grind to .157. This way each blade is FLAT ! Holes are drilled on a Bridgeport Mill. The pivot is drilled at #13, just undersized. After grind and HT, we hone the hole to .188. A .1875 pivot then fits TIGHT. Each pivot is then lapped in with clover compound. The frames are then flat ground on the inside.
Use .187 spacers, .015 bronze washers. Tried several thicknesses, this works with lock angle of 14 degrees. The swing radius of the lock bar and spacers have to line up to the blade lock face angle.
Get the parts (Spacers, stop pins) mostly from USA Knife Maker >
