Few weeks ago,Auntie told me i will get the brave knife soon!

a beAST (Amar Singh Thapa) indeed! 18+ inch of solid steel! Excuse the blurry pics,guys. Too excited !! (better reviews and pics to come!):D

A rather slender Siru-esque profile.
Rough measurements at 1.27mm/ 0.5" thick.

A reverse "heart/love" sign? Dil has a Lotus after him. A new Kami, Auntie?

Glad you liked it, got too many of them CS bushmans and thought you would put it to better use since you frequently go to the wilderness :)

Got to handle this baby, for it's size and length it is surprisingly weildy. Handle had much room and the lanyard hole is a nice feature. Tip is very pointy and the blade came nicely sharp. Small issue with the scabbard but it ain't no deal breaker. All in all this is a nice blade whi will help Jay get from point A to B in the wilderness, foliage beware :)
 
I gotta say, the Pocket Bushman is one of my favorite Douk Douk knives. I have one and it's amazingly sharp and tough.

The Kami marking looked interesting on mine.

It doesn't look like Dil's.
 
I couldn't figure mine out >.> Figured it was a clover, but looked closest to a tree :confused:

Suhweet! It chops like a champ, and I plan on giving it to my dad since he's got a ton of yard work to do.. If he finds it a bit heavy, he'll just have to build muscle :)

I truly love my ASTK and I am glad you do as well.
It is head and shoulders above all the others in my collection my favorite khukuri.

Davino, the devanagiri initials on your blade reads "Di Ba" so I'm guessing Dil Bahadur??? JayGoliath, yours reads "Mu Ba" so a kami whose name starts with M?

As for the symbols - clover, sun, reverse-heart, etc. Karda and others will be more knowledgeable than me in this regard.

I like the blade-shape of these ASTKs!
 
The clover on Davino's is definately Dil.
The reverse heart i'm not too sure about. Could it be Murali's new mark? since his nephew took over his old one? Best way to know is to email auntie with the Pic.
 
Thanks for sharing pictures of your ASTK. I got one back in March and really like it. Mine got a good little work out at the end of May on a campout and will get an even better one in August when I go camping for 3 to 5 days.
