Beat up 110

So I work in a scrapyard and I came across a 110 that has been beat to heck. I believe it is a fifth version, fifth variation. Please correct me if I am wrong. It is a two dot, stainless rocker pin, visible pins in both both bolsters.
Anyway, this guy went through a car shredder, two trommels and numerous shaker tables and conveyors to end up where I found him. Question is what do I do with him? Send it to Buck? Bury it with honors, or leave it the way it is because it is a good story?

Her's a couple pics. Photography is not my forte, so I apologize.

Thanks for looking at it and thanks for all your help.

"been beat to heck"

LOL It looks like a stone age era blade. :D

I'd love to see what the Buck Spa would do with that one.

I think I'd drop Buck an email and see if they were interested in having it for a promotional! I keep reading they're built like a tank!

Brilliant story, you never know they may send you a replacement as a good will jesture ;)!

I'm seriously thinking about adding one of these to the collection and the more I read, the more I'm tempted!

This is the shredder- 7,000 HP, 12 -650 LB hammers

For a little clarification- I'm a mechanic in the yard and we have put a full size tractor trailer, minus the trailer plate, through the shredder. Our yard puts out 10,000 tons of scrap per week. If you are wondering I carry a 110 or a 486 plus a 301 daily in the yard.

amazeing that it survive as a whole knife!!!!
yes send it in with pictures !!
but ya know i cant help but wander what the goose would say ?

I'd hang onto it. That's one of the things I enjoy about my knives, the more beat up the better!

Does it still lock up solid?

If that isn't a testimonial for Bucks, I don't know what would be :D

I can't believe it looks that good after what it went through

That has been my thought since I picked it out of a pile of scrap. I see what other "things" become as they exit the process and most are mangled beyond recognition. If this isn't a test of 'hard use', I don't know what is. There is a reason Buck has been making knives for as long as they have.
