Beat up old knife

A number of years ago I purchased this knife from a garage (estate sale) for $3.00. It is in very poor condition and there are no other ID marks except for the castle stamped on the blade. I was wondering if anyone recognises it.

Hmmm... Can you get a better picture? It doesn't sound like an Imperial- I've never seen one stamped on the blade instead of the ricasso.
