Im looking for a eater fixed blade. does anybody have any suggestions at a good price.

I was looking at the Buck Nighthawk, but it seems kinda expensive for what ya get.

Don't know what your application is, but someone here was talking about used AK-47 bayonets at cheaperthandirt.com for around $14 plus shipping. This is too big obviously for a carry knife if thats what you are after.

When you say beater fixed, I am thinking yard work or in the trunk??

I keep a dexter russell 12" fishsplitter in my trunk. I just did some bush clearing in my yard with it. Its cost was $14. I bought about 7-8 years ago and have been abusing it ever since.
