I know there are alot of opinions on Strider knives. But honestly...would you feel "underknived" with one of the Strider folders?

Are you serious? Strider Knives produce some of the toughest folders available today.

I definately wouldn't say underknifed, more like overknifed for me. They don't appeal to me because they are big, thick, and a little on the heavy side. Although if they were alot cheaper, I would have another becaue I kinda like them. I prefer light, sharp, slicing machines.

On the days that I carry one of my Striders, I ONLY carry that one knife. When I carry most other brands, I carry a couple of knives (for different tasks, not because I'm afraid one of them will fail).

The thing I like about my Striders is that they are sharp enough to shave and push cut phone book pages (just like my other blades), but they're also heavy and sturdy enough to beat the snot out of anything I can't cut :D (unlike most of my other blades).

Strider knives are expensive. For the cost of just one of there knives, I could buy and use many less expensive models. Of course I use knives for cutting, not for prying.

I don't want to Lump Strider's as strictly "Military' knives but...

No, I certainly don't feel "underknived" when I carry one my SnG or SMF. They are a little bulky in the pocket but they feel just fine in hand. I'm glad I have them.

The SnGs that came out last year with the stonewashed blades were very nice. I missed getting one. I hope they make more this year.

Well said!

My wife bought me a stonewashed SnG for Christmas, I always wanted one , but preferred an uncoated blade ( like my Buck Strider).

After reading your post I checked the Vendor's site that sold my wife the SnG and they're still listed as available.

I apologize if this causes you to spend money:)
