Beating the new off of the bk4

So I finally had a chance to break out the new bk4 and got to use it to help clear some quad trails. I assumed it would work well for this but I was pleasantly surprised to see how well it performed. Mostly smaller stuff around 1"-1.5" thick but it took it down perfectly. Hands down the best part, though, was that upon seeing how easily I was cutting through some of the thicker stuff, my fiancé actually commented on how well it was working lmao. Couldn't have justified that one better if I tried lol now I need to get her playing with some beckers next!

The BK4 is such a great chopper. I picked one up because I couldn't resist the price and it has become one of my favorites.
 
Thanks! The more I use it the better it seems to get - I will definitely be ordering a second one ASAP! While I hate the reason for the sales, I can't pass up the recent pricing.
 
With the offset tang and curvy blade profile, the 4 just begs me to swing it and destroy stuff. I used mine as a draw knife last night to make a baseball cap full of shavings and a few feather sticks. Works well.
 
Just got one of these last week myself... Super impressed so far with the bk4. Its my first full sized bk my other one is a 24. The handles are actually amazingly comfortable, I actually managed to cut through a 5" tree with one large swing and a small follow up to break through the remainder. Truly and awesome knife.

I'm with you on this. I've always tried to convince myself I don't need any other chopper than a 9. But seeing that baby in action just makes me drool a little.
 
I totally love my 4s and am ordering more so every member of the family has them in their bug out bag.

Count me in as part of the 4 crowd now. I've been putting off buying one for years because I just didn't need another knife. I've been really curious after watching you nuts gush over it:D Well, I saw they were discontinued and grabbed one for $60 shipped. That's hard to resist. Can't wait to get it:thumbup:
