Besides scaring the neighbors and opening your mail..., what do you use the SQUATCH for??? Convince me that the knife is an excellent allarounder. I DARE YOU!!!:D

I have used mine for everything, too drunk to type all the details...got the spins. My favorite Busse.

Easier to say what it is NOT good for:

1) cleaning fingernails
2) making spoons
3) toothpick
4) fighting decarb
5) killing elephants

That is all I can think of at the moment... It is good at everything NOT on my list. :D

KD, that squatch is lookin well loved! I have a competition finish as well and its awesome!

edit - mine chops well for the blade length, has a very comfortable handle and is very well balanced

Mine's lived in the saddle bag, second bike now, since I got it at Blade 2008.

As has been said, it's pretty good at most everything. I kept the CE over the coated ones I had.

My Squatch is my favorite bigger Busse - it fits my hand the best, is light enough to carry all day and is just a monster!

Still haven't figured out the logic behind the swedge though...

I sure like mine. It was enough to sell my CG ash1.

Let me list some of the things that really make it stand out for me.

Thinner! It is a perfect thickness for an all around knife. It has enough weight to to chop, but is thin enough to do general tasks like food prep.

I have used it to clean up 20 lbs of chicken breast at a time.

I like the blade height. From spine to edge.

The flat pommel. No "skull crusher" pointy end to poke my ribs, or smack my knuckles on painfully when walking around or working.

I always come back to the SARsquatch.
The handle is simple and super comfortable.
Not the best chopper because it's light, but it's my favorite all around blade (also for cleaning fingernails).

A version with a 1/4" thick blade, a bit longer, and without the false edge, would be interresting.

I had 4 originally. Dumped them all. Figured my FSH's would be better. Last year, got another Squatch b/c it is so much better to me. Almost like a short machete. Light and easy to work with. It won't hack and chop like a FSH, but I don't hack and chop that much.

When I saw your first post, I was wondering when the stripper would show up !

Just posted this in another Squatch thread, but its great for stabbing barrels and delimbing pine to feed our goats :D
