This knife was made as a special order. If he changes his mind, it may go up for sale here...

This blade is 4 5/16". The entire knife is a 8 7/8".


This BUSH STYLE BLADE is made of 5/32" thick 01 TOOL STEEL bar stock. The Each Von Hagen knife blade has been Rockwell Hardness Tested and has been tempered and bench tested to assure the perfect hardness -- not too hard as to chip but not too soft as not to be able to hold an edge. The FULL TAPERED TANG knife has a CONVEX GRIND blade. The BOX ELDER is highlighted by the RED VULCANIZED SPACER and the LANYARD which has two beads turned from the same BOX ELDER as the handle.

The pattern on the blade is the one I like the most of yours. Another great knife by you.

The wood is, for the most part, natural. Box Elder, while beautiful by its own right, stains red when it has been infested by a beatle. It is not terribly common yet at the same time, not impossible to find either.
The black lines are inclusions or cracks and gaps that came in the block of wood when I purchased it. I filled them in with epoxy and was incredibly happy with the results.
