it had been a while since ive purchased myself a new traditional so i figured i treat myself this time around. i was looking for a jackknife pattern, dark colored bone scales, and carbon blades. a fellow member here(you know who you are) hooked me up with an absolutely beautiful Case Copperhead in CV with beautiful caramel bone scales! the fit and finish is as good as any GEC or Queen ive owned. no gaps, beautiful walk n talk, no blade play, and razor sharp. the jimping is gorgeous. this Copperhead is gonna pair up nicely with my yella peanut :D

Spectacular knife and pictures. Congrats..that's one I would chase after as well.

I just picked up a Case Mini Copperhead in Blue Bone with Stainless blades(wanted CV but could not find, do they even make it in blue bone?) and it's a great knife. I don't hear much about these but it's a FANTASTIC EDC. The only downside is that false swedge on the warncliff is ground extremely thin so it creates a bit of a hot spot. On the other hand the tip with said swedge is ground so thin I feel like I could sew a button on a shirt with it. Just a great tip for all kinds of work. And I love the angle the pen knife is at, it arcs downward so you can keep your hand out of the way, even with bigger mitts.

My Copperhead is also just superbly built. No play, no blades rubbing anywhere, and the tolerances are much better than any Case I have ever owned(not that many, like 5)

Congratulations of your Copperhead, she is gorgeous. I have had mine in my pocket everyday for 2 weeks which means it's kicked out my BM 710, Mini Grip, H&K Mini Auto, and my Cold Steel AK-47 amond others. I plan on picking up a full size Copperhead, hopefully in CV.

P.S. Part of me was hoping this was a for sale thread in the wrong section. :D

thank you guys very much! i was literally in aw when i un-wraped it. forgot to mention the blades are perfectly centered too. and i love the heft of the full size. like i said before the fit and finish is just amazing on this case at half the price of a GEC. she's almost to purty to put in the pocket!

I like that big knife, "big-boned", beautiful fit and finish that I can see from just the photo. It would be a shame to not carry it and not give it that warm pocket worn softness to the bone and the satin-look to the bolsters.

Congratz to this nice piece of steel and bone. I´m sure it will serve you well!

Kind regards
Andi

Very, very nice looking Case. I have it's cousin, in the trapper blade configuration instead of the jack. I love mine, too!

Looks great, I've always felt that the copperhead was one of the cooler and more unique traditional patterns out there especially when offered in CV which IMO is a very traditional blade steel.

Sorry, she is in the back row for this group photo. I love mine, it is pre 70's no dots.

Copperhead is my favorite pattern. That is indeed a very nice one. You almost hate to pocket one in that nice of condition. If you don't though what good is it? My nice and pretty slippies get carried in a pocket sheath to keep the wear and tear to a minimum.

sad story guys… i still havent put this beauty in my pocket :(. i told myself i was gonna carry this one but i cant get myself to!

Sensational bone on this example. Is it a very old knife?

I much prefer a Copperhead to a Trapper, strong sturdy knife with no tangs to rip out your pockets. Böker do a decent carbon Copperhead too.

Thanks, Will

Ah! I'm having a hard time deciding weather or not I want to carry this beauty now.

No, no, no.....

If you haven't used that pattern before, you won't believe how nicely it carries. Drop that one in your pocket and smile every time you use it, and get another for a safe queen. I had a fit of poverty after I got that same exact pattern in the mid 70s, and really couldn't justify another work knife for about 7 - 8 years. I used the absolute snot out of that knife for everything. Although a little worse for wear, it still locks up tight, takes a great edge and not one thing is loose on it. Due to careful sharpening and an occasional drop of oil on the joints and blades it should last another 50 years in the right hands. (Hopefully my nephew's....!)

Out of the folders I carried way back then before the clip on pocket knives made their debut, that was the most handy, and the most used for everything you can imagine. Give it some lovin'.... use it!
