Here's the story...
I was first to the table at Blade on Friday and was stunned to see these old school scales on a Chopweiler. :eek: After talking with Eric and Garth it seems that they found a set of old school Ratweiler scales and modded them to fit this knife. I love this knife and it seems that my unique black with tan Chopweiler just got replaced.
 
Awesome. Those scales were part of the reason I bought a ratweiler too. I love my black g10 scales that are on my chopweiler, but those "fancy" micarta scales are great. Good score.
 
Wow! That's one of the coolest things I've seen posted from Blade this year. :cool:
 
That is sweet! Would have been hard to walk away from that one!
 
I remember seeing a really cool knife with some thin slabs that looked, to my color blind eyes, like snakeskin... anyone else catch that one???

Sweet. I love those scales! As soon as I saw them on a ratweiler I thought to myself, damn I wish they still made these! Great score!!!
