OK, so its not a wolf but a Siberian Husky. My daughter likes to call her a wolf.;)
I knew we were going to have great weather this weekend and the leaves are full of color so good time for a hike....it's always a good time for a hike, unless it's above 85 for me anyway.:D

The pics were taken at Germantown Metro park 15000 acres. Lots of trails, very steep terrain at times, good hiking trails.

Packed up and ready to go.:)

We had a great hike. We hike maybe once or twice a month, but after this hike I realized I need to do it more often. I didn't post all the pics, the ones of the steep inclines and valleys didn't do it justice. It was definitely a workout, we only did about 5 miles but the terrain made it feel like 10+. Hope you enjoyed the pics.

Awesome pics, ......man I was almost there with you guys your photos are just great!.
I love taking my girls out to the outdoors as well, but with them getting much older now they do their own thing with their friends.
Great photos, and you have a great little ( or show I say two ) mate there by your side
Duncan.

Awesome pictures, cute girl and nice looking dog! Thanks for sharing!

Great pics, I love what your girls shirt says lol. Her hiking staff with the squirrel on it is pretty cool too.

Cool shots man, nice area and cute girl. Thanks for sharing the trip. I love taking my kids to the woods too.

Great pics! I kinda feel sorry for the squirrel, he looks like he's in pain! :D

I enjoy getting outdoors with my nephew.. it's great to take kids that are interested with you. Hard to find, but I am glad there are still some of them out there.

Thanks for the pics, too.

That's great stuff right there. I need to get out more with my daughter.

She's about the same age as your daughter and calls my dog(who happens to be part husky) a wolf also.

Is that park near Germantown, Oh?? I take walks in the Englewood Reserve. Very well maintained parks IMO.

Yes, in Germantown thus the name Germantown Metro park ;) It's right off 725, great park, challenging trails.:)

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.

I started her early with the outdoors around 3-4 she loves it. Got her spotting poison ivy on her own, teaching her about stagnate water, shelter, fires, taking in the environment around her, how ipods/headphones are not a good thing to bring to the outdoors, not littering (a pet peeve of mine). She is learning a lot and I love teaching her but I can defiantly feel the time slipping by....boys are starting to come up in our conversations while hiking:eek:...shes nine..I am not ready for that...I hope we have several more years doing stuff together before her friends and the inevitable boy friend take over.:(
