I came across a somewhat modern Collins axe at an antique store. I'm more into the 1900-1940's axes, but I got the around 1970's Collins super cheap. It was brand new and never swung. Today, it was 68 degrees outside and sunny, it should be in the 30's and cloudy... anyways. Since the 21 is going out in favor of the less liked by me 31, I've been buying way too many Sebenza's.
My brand new Join or Die lefty got some work removing thorns around the work site. It handled the stuff too small for an axe. I love taking a Reeve out and giving it a good break in. It got some small scratches so that hurdle is already crossed. I can't wait to use it more. The blade was tight, but after todays medium use, it drops when the lock bar is held back... Just like all the others in the family. Here are a few pics from today. A Keen Kutter axe had to sneak in before the end of the day.
I can't help it... Part of the internet is showing off. All razor sharp and hung tight. These are ready for use and I love to use them!
