I am looking for an EDC cary knife that is as much beautiful as it is useful. What I'm not looking for is an all metal knife. I am not looking for something that looks like it was carved out of a piece of billet from a CNC machine. I also do not want a knife that looks like I'm waiting for a call from the local SWAT team.
I guess what I'm looking for is something with a rich looking and beautifully polished wood handle (maybe cherry) that has a nice looking blade. I understand that the look of a blade is subjective but when looking at this knife it should scream, craftsman and not mass production. Realistically this knife will do very little actual duty as I have other more "serious" knives for heavy work.
It certainly can be mass produced as I'm not looking for some justification for having the only one made but I surely want something that is nice to look at. I also want this knife available at anytime and don't want to get on a 6 month waiting list hoping the knifemaker decides to get around to making what I want. Under $500 would be great but the price can vary quite a bit up or down if it has "the look".
Crazy first post I'm sure but any suggestions or websites?
