Another from the V&A. Probably Indian made with stunning gold furniture, riveted scale grips of rosewood, embroided silk covered scabbard plus seperate scabbards of silk for 2 by-knives one of which is missing. 15" with a deep fuller.

Wow! Looks like a high class Bayonet/Kukri cross!

Any date to go with this one JP?

I thought the Ivory Kardas I made were pretty original, But this looks sort of related! {im my deluded fantasy!}

Thanks for showing us these beautys!

Wow, John, that is sure different! It also has me confused because if I hadn't seen the furniture on the spine and the fact it's 15 inches long I'd swear [in my own ignorance] it had half the blade ground down and the pommel cut off.

Really different!! I presume it would stab as well as cut. And that handle!! A creative smith indeed.

It sure has a combination look of yataghan and khukuri! ... What do you say john?

IMHO ... this is another one piece of khukuri that should be reproduce again by HI. I guess Bura and Sonu are just the right creative bishwakarmas to reproduce this khukuri variation! The replica should minus the furniture to give a more touch of utility knife in it.

It capture my sense of having it as another piece of collectible/usable knife item!

It's shape just look fine for slicing, cutting, piercing and light chopping.

Pakcik Bill/Makcik Yangdu ... if ever HI decide to reproduce this beautiful variation ... just include my name in the list of buyer!
