Beaver Axe

I've seen that 'Unex' stamp on a handle before. I'm just trying to remember where. I think it might have been on a Mueller or Stubai.

I have had bad experience with those beaver axes, My local home hardware used to carry them and I looked at them every time I went in, At one time they had about 12 in stock in the tool isle and every single one of them had bad grain and very loose heads, they have since stopped carrying them :P

I think it's funny that the axe used for the sales photo has bad grain alignment, heartwood, and an uneven bevel!!!! You'd think they would put up the best possible specimen. Course, that's not the only thing that's funny...

It was bound to happen. I was going to try to work around the name but I knew no matter what the beaver jokes would come out. What can a feller do?

A whole lotta nothin. I'm surprised we held out as long as we did!!!!

Don't have one, but I do know the heads are made in China (or was it South America :foot:). I also heard that the club-like Unex handles are installed in Canada (and thus probably also for that Oxhead axe sold by the same Canadian company).
