I was out woodsbumming this morning and crossed paths with this fury destructive rodent. These critters have torn up our ponds pretty good this year and it also happened that I didn't have any beaver hides so I unholstered my Browning Buckmark and disposed of him.

Nice work. If you've never had the meat you don't know what you're missing.
put the hind quarters in the Crock-pot for the day with Salt and Pepper. After you eat it you'll never spend that
much time skinnin without eatin the critter too. No joke.

i never knew Beaver meat was good. i love the 2 legged beavers. just never had the 4 legged kind. we have a 5acre pond and 2 huge beavers that are screwing it up. they are marked animals now. if i see em i am going to eliminate them.. hell i might eat one now. lol.

A word of advice Hung-solo if you plan to dispatch one of these rodents past 50 yards or so it wouldn't hurt to have something with a bit more oomph than a 22 LR a varmint caliber ( 223,22-250,220 ) would be more than ideal.I was at no more than arms length when I dispatched that beaver with my 22 pistol and wouldn't try it again at any greater distance.
