Could someone tell me where or from whom this phrase originated? For me it's one of those things you run across every once in a while that really resonates. Thanks.

It's not a logical statement to begin with, so whoever said it, was selling something.

The average human adult sized brain weighs around 3LBs. Factor in the body an resources required to power a large brain, and "nothing" becomes very subjective.

Some knowledge is heavy. :(

Not as heavy as moving a pack rat across country, but heavy.

I have so much knowledge, I feel lightheaded.

I've no idea where that phrase originated. Google seems to attach it to prepper sites, & that ilk. I remember my mother using it to convince to try at school 35 yrs ago. She is no prepper, probably never heard of such a thing ever.

I have heard Mors speak a lot about knowledge, but not that exact quote. He probably has said it before as about everything out of his mouth is quotable. Here is an article I wrote on the subject of Knowledge vs Common Sense inspired by Mors...

Hey QB, he has (ok, at least close). In fact he wrote it in my copy of Northern Bushcraft.

I am sure that an empty brain weighs the same as a full brain. So yes the statement is correct.
