Post up your progress for MYB and BSP. GET FIT!

Scoring:

The idea is simple. Move your body. Get fitter.

Between the dates of (insert current month) 1 and (insert current month) 31, the challenge is to earn 50 Becker Points. Points can be earned in the following fashion:

1 mile (1.6 km) on foot = 1 Becker Point
3 miles (4.8 km) road cycling = 1 Becker Point
2 miles (3.2 km) mountain biking & inline skating = 1 Becker Point
1 mile (1.6 km) swimming = 4 Becker Points
Yoga - 12 min = 1 Becker Point

If you just do one thing, you'll need to hoof it 50 miles, or road bike 150 , or mountain bike 100 miles, or swim 12.50 miles. You may combine items to build toward 50 Becker Points in any fashion you choose. Honor system in play.
This thread will be the place where people report in on their progress.

Sorry Tim, I've been out of it all month and you've been left all alone, and December isn't looking too good for me either.

I actually did a little swimming, but it's a tiny drop in a very big bucket. 50-60 hr. workweeks + on call; I'm tired all the time. No motivation to go early and I sure don't feel like working out after getting home from a 10-12 hr. day. Did a mile in the pool last Saturday, and maybe 1200 meters the Saturday before - the only reason I even go is my daughter needs a ride to the pool for her swim practice - otherwise I'd just as soon sleep in. What's it called when the most obvious solution to a problem is not doable because of the obvious solution to that problem prevents you from doing the obvious thing? I know I'd feel better mentally and physically if I got some exercise, but I'm just too damn tired and too mentally down to get some exercise.
Tho, I did go hunting - once - a few weeks ago....and it was mostly hiking around the woods. Love to get out again before the season's over......but see above.

Sorry to leave you here all alone, Tim.

All good guys. To tell you the truth I've been feeling a little less motivated lately as well. I've been doing my best to keep going but with the weather getting crappy and being sick the past week I've just been thinking about taking a break. Then I look at all the progress I've made and keep trying to get back into it. I need to get into a different routine for the winter but I just don't know how to do that yet. Been working with different ideas but my dog is going to get the short end of the stick when It comes to outdoors activities. I really need to quit playing pokemon go lol. Its the only thing I got going for me right now, and its eating up too much of the time I don't have lol. I'll be more inclined to stay in and treadmill rather then a 2 mile walk in the cold if I did that lol. Maybe just quit until spring lol. I donno. All I know is I need to find a new routine to get me through this no motivation winter crap.

Got out yesterday before dinner and today before lunch for some walking and a little trail hiking. There's a place about 3/4 of a mile from my folks house that I would walk to most days if I lived here. 3/4 mile there, ~1 mile trail then back. Crap weather today and it was still worth it.

myb: +4 = 36.5
bsp: 4.5

myb: +2.5 = 39
bsp: +3 =7.5 - back at it today with pushups situps and dips. Threw away the phone for the run to get it done quicker then pounded out a workout. I'm definitely not where I was a month ago. Too much slacking, Time to get back at it!

But....but.....Tim, you're in Canada and winter is coming. How are you going to survive without a layer of "survival, um......blubber"? You don't see eskimos looking to lose weight, do ya?

People tell me they're hungry. I tell 'em, "Hey! I've got at LEAST 2 weeks of rations on my person at all times." Probably a month's worth is closer to the truth. Like money in the bank :D.

myb: +2 = 41

myb: +2.5 = 43.5
bsp: +3 = 12.5 So ends this month!!

Rofl Mike! Believe me, if I kept as much on as I had, I would be doing nothing but wearing my winter shorts this year ;).

I also still got a good layer of survival bubbler going on :D if we ever were to starve or go without food for a while I could last a while on what I still have going on. Its not so much the weight loss that I'm looking for (altho it would be nice). My wife asked me the other day when I'll stop, or slow down again. I told her that I wanted to get to a point where I'm healthy. I want to feel energetic, I don't want to have aches and pains all the time, I want to be able to keep touching my toes, I want to be able to do some crazy yoga moves and flagpole, and it would help if I looked like I belonged on the cover of 'Men's Health'. I don't have to be ripped, but I want to get that belly fat layer down until I can see something lol. I weigh in regularly between 184lbs and 189lbs depending on what I've been eating and such. That is right where I like to be, I would love to see the 180 mark but I'm not in any rush. At the advice of one of the trainers I read articles from, they suggested taking 'progress' pictures to keep yourself motivated so you can see the changes that you've made. I don't see shit, but my wife found them the other day and said she wanted a few more haha.

When CF started this thing last October I was somewhere in the neighbourhood of 224lbs, could barely do 30 push ups, and couldn't even fathom running lol. Now I just need to fight and keep going so that I can maintain and get to my goals. I'm not in any rush mind you :D I still love food. My diet flexes back and forth from good to crappy. That, and the time of year doesn't help. The closer you get to Christmas the more amazing food is available, and working in a food service warehouse, the corporate chef's like to start making treats. I'm only human and accept the fact that I need to enjoy life and just eat lol. I could measure all my food and get down to the science of diet and start supplementing and shred in a few months, but that's no fun :P I'll take my long way and enjoy it while I can.
