Can you please give me some feedback on this design? I'm only using two bolts on the cocobolo and I've plugged them on the nut side. I've left the allen head side uncovered for maintenance.

Comments?

Thanks,
Marathonman

Personally, I think it looks super. It's too bad that there's no way to plug the allen head side, too, but I don't know how you possibly could, and still have access to the bolts. Looks great, though. Good job.

Awesome job dude. I wanna make some new scales for my baconmaker. Where'd you get the wood? And is cocobolo the best choice for all-around durability?

I make pistol grips and knife scales and by far, 20 to 1, people order cocobolo. Coco is a great wood for many reasons, but there are others too. I really love the burls too. Most exotic wood lumber yards have them. I have two near my house. You could buy from eBay or Jantz online.

Have fun and thanks for the compliment!

Thanks guys!

I just convexed my BK2. It's amazing how sharp that 1/4" steel can get. My BK7 is the same way. Way to go Ethan and crew!

Wow. Very nice. I would love to see those on a stripped blade!

Thanks guys for the kind words. An amboyna Burl or cocoblo set of scales on a stripped and polished version would be a very nice and one-of-a-kind addition to the collection.
