I thought I was going to skip this model, but the recent sale at TKC (combined with an extra discount) sucked me in. My BK4 is on the way, along with a set of G10 scales for another full size Becker).
As if that wasn't enough cause for rejoice, I've got a few others on the way, as well. I don't want to list them quite yet, because there is also pending negotiation for one more; but you can bet I'll be posting pics once they're here.

Hmmm - big empty space with no picture at all - this sucks. Give me a minute, I'll fix it.

Very nice mate, there are only three Beckers I don't own in the current line and the 4 is one of them. I kinda wished I'd have grabbed it before the 10. Anyway it's definately my next purchase. Looking forward to your pics man.

Now could be the time - check out the sale price. The extra discount is 5%; but, with the scales added in, it took another $6.05 off the price. I'm choosing to look at as paying full price for the scales, and $54.90 for the BK4.

Man that's rock bottom, but with the Aussie dollar at 70 something cents then postage to Australia, it could turn out near local prices. But will sit down and do the calculations now, thanks for the heads up.

Of the Kabar Beckers, I do not own a 3, 10, 13, or 17. I suppose I could add the 14 to that list, because I was making a kiridashi and changed plans midstream (mostly because I was getting tired of grinding away at it, lol). I still have it, though, even if it isn't the same knife. I don't really get the BK3, so I'm unlikely to buy that; and I have no interest whatsoever in the 13 or 17. The 10, well, I've expressed my feelings about that one several times...but I suppose it's a couple of notches above the others that I don't have.

Very cool picture! Congrats.
Thanks - the post needed something visual, and one of those still counts as new since it has only been here for 10 days

Aw come on! Now you're making me think about getting one... Should I? My girlfriend will kill me...

I don't know...my understanding is that there's a bit of a learning curve with the BK4. Odds are that, unless she's got a natural talent, you'd have a reasonable chance at survival. Either way, you might as well get it. I mean, the price is RIGHT...and who wants to die without a 4?

I know I am now complete, now that I have mine!

In all seriousness, it is a Fantastic blade shape that doesn't take too long to get the basics down, but will always be teaching you something.
