So a friend of mine and I were talking about inconspicuous ways to carry one's firearms in and out of one's house so to not show the whole world that one has firearms at one's house. I told him about what Captain Airica did with her firearms and he wanted one for his, so here is what I did for him. (He's not very crafty or handy so him making it was kinda out of the question.)

What I started with.

I cut out pieces of the foam (1" thick foam) to fit the case and laid out the gun.

I traced the outline of the parts, cut that out, and glued it down.

The fit after it's all glued down. Forgot to mention that I used a hole saw to cut a hole for the barrel.

With everything in place.

So there we have it. The shotgun can and does fit on top but it's tight. I'm thinking there are a few things extra I can do with it but that's about it for now.

That's pretty nice :)

I usually put the guns in the trunk of the car inside the garage, with the garage door closed

How about a sheath on that blade! yikes!
Neat configuration. There may or may not be a Gibson case with an air rifle around these parts...

Of course there's probably a shotgun in every other house around here, so it's not quite so unusual to be coming and going.

I can only make sheatsh so fast. Right now I'm working on one for my 16. Then the 15 well get a proper cross draw sheath.

Round these parts, in the city limits, there are some crack heads among other shady people that w e wouldn't want setting our firearms.

That's so Al Capone.

I was thinking more; Desparado. ;)

And thanks guys!! :)

ah, sheeples

plus the case has room for more knives :D

Very nice!

Could you make me one like that out of a grand piano case? :D

Very nice.... I'm surprised this isn't more of a thing. Or maybe it is and we just don't know it.... :D

Also very nice!

Blackhawk makes a racquet bag purpose built for shorter firearms...so next time you are at the gym... And their discreet bags could easily pass for a soft electric guitar case.

Nice. I used to have a garage a car would fit into. No longer. I've used a travel case. Those who know, know what it is. Not sure if ngp figure it out. Maybe a trombone case would work for my a-bolt.

Thanks errybody!!! I'm going to get some fabric to line it too. I might try to add another layer so it can carry more. Well see what happens.

It's not bad for about 30 bucks so far.

Wow, that is awesome work.:thumbup::thumbup:
I know there a few companies that make guitar cases, but I think the only one I've ever seen in a store before is the Thompson rifle 'violin case'.
Some of the nice hard gun case could pass for an instrument case. You could just slap some music stickers on it. I know SKB makes guitar AND gun cases. A nicer case (for guitars or rifles) would cost a lot more than $30 though. Where did you get the foam come from??

The was a pretty sweet rig he had in the movie "El Mariachi". I really liked the fake acoustic guitar top that hid what was really inside if someone opened the case.
