Becker BK&T is the "best" outdoor knife forum that I know of

Having the real deal knife designer/owner (Ethan Becker) in this forum of knife nuts is outstanding.

The passon all you BeckerHeads have here is worth the time and $$ to own Becker knives alone.:thumbup:

There are tons of excellent 1095 outdoor knives out there, but zero passon for the Ontario knives. I do like the Ontario line also.

A lot more factors at play than just "1095". Beckers are 1095 Cro-Van, which is vastly superior. Thats why you don't see youtube videos like these about our knives:

That being said....if given the choice between an Ontario and a Cold Steel, I'd choose the Ontario. If there were no such thing as Becker, I'd go ESEE. But I love my Kabars and Beckers so I stick with what I trust....and I don't trust gear lightly!

I agree. None of the major manufacturers have a good selection of knives with chrome silhouettes of nude women. I think they are really missing a key demographic.

A nearby truck stop here sells TOPS and Buck Knives. Not too bad, relatively speaking

Have you tried searching?

The Becker/Ka-Bars are 1095 CroVan, which is 1095 with a little more chromium and vanadium thrown in to sweeten the pot, but I've never heard any reference to "50100" or anything else. Ka-Bar just calls it 1095 CroVan.
